WeDoGood.org’s Heroes for Habitat program takes veterans and first responders on the water to restore seagrass, plant protective habitats, and reconnect with nature.

Activities include:

  • Wave Attenuation Devices – reduce wave energy by 90%, restore shorelines naturally, and attract oysters.

  • Oyster & Hybrid Reefs – improve water quality and enhance biodiversity.

  • Wetlands Restoration – support wildlife and improve water flow.

  • Spring & River Restoration – erosion control, pollution reduction, and habitat protection.

As a special thank you to everyone involved in the Heroes for Habitats tournament, 10 participants (including sponsors, boaters, and volunteers) will be selected to join us for a half-day snorkeling and swimming excursion on the water in St. Lucie / Fort Pierce this October! Winners will be announced and contacted directly with full details prior to the event.

As a veteran or first responder, you’ll join fellow heroes on the water. Together, we’ll restore ecosystems, fish, and share a meal at the end of the day. It’s about healing, connection, and leaving a legacy
